F.A.Q. Whats Hero's? Hero's (heros) is a Club, aimed at guys who are interested or have a fetish for skintight clothing: Lycra, rubber, wetsuits etc Can/ do Str8 guys attend? Yes, they do. If you're into wearing tight lycra or rubber, cycling gear or Zentai and being in the company of others who share your interest or fetish, come along. Why no Girls? The Club is ran from an established Gay (Bi) Dress Code Club- The BACKSTREET. There are no facilaties for ladies, for one. Plus the club came about throught the gay community and only recently has there been any interest from ladies into zentai. Where is the Club Held? Hero's is held at The BACKSTREET, Which is located in Wentworth Mews, Mile End E3. www.thebackstreet.com for details. How do I get there? Take the Tube to Mile End, or take the 205 Bus (kings Cross to Mile End). have a look on http://www.tfl.gov.uk/ Whats the BACKSTREET like? in a word: Friendly. On entering the club, to the left is John (the Owner) who will direct you to get changed, the you can pay your entrance fee, and hand in your bag to the secure coat check. Changing Facilaties? The Club has a large entrance hall with stools and chairs, or you may use the Gents/Toilets/restrooms to change. The Club is normally used as a Leather and Rubber Club, so think, Mirrors, Subdued dark corners, and a well lit Bar Area with stools and tables. Have a look on the Photos there are pics taken at the club. I can see Cages and people doing bondage in the pictures? Yes, there are a few cages in the Club (as furniture/props) and there are some people who attend who like Bondage and they will use the equipment. What if I'm not into Bondage can I still go? Ofcourse, if some people choose to consent to doing bondage between themselves, that is their business. They will move to an area of the club to be on their own to do this. The general ettiquitte is look but dont touch. No one will approach you or ask you to do anything you dont want to do. So what type of guys attend? All sorts. Slim, thin, stocky, Footballer types, athletic, muscle, Twink, etc. you name it, and of all ages, from 18 to 50. Can I expect it to be like other Gay Clubs? No. Heros isnt the Bitchfest that other (Vanilla Gay Clubs are like). In general, I always find Fetish clubs are some of the most friendliest Clubs as you always have easy conversations as we all share the same fetish, and can chat about that or the material, how it feels etc... Nor is it like any of the Central Station type clubs -like Shoot- which usually involves heavy cruising and staring, (or pushing and shoving. and not much chance to chat ot talk to other guys). I've never been to a fetish Club? We know all too well that it can see daunting taking those first steps to making contact with other guys but by doing it at Heros, you are meeting others in a safe and controlled environment. what do I do? Come along in your favourite Skintight gear, Cycling kit, Zentai, Speedo Fastskin, Adidas Equipment suit, Rubber: Fullsuit, wrestle suit, Speedo Briefs, Uunder Armour, Wetsuit etc. Most guys bring a few changes of clothes to wear different suits, Others will wear just the one. Go sit by the Bar, if you've been on some of the lycra fetish websites, like: www.andyelycra.co.uk you will probably already know the picture of some of the people in attendance or go explore the Darker areas or the Club... is everyone there for sex? No, Some people go to keep incontact with friends, or to meet new people, perhaps even Mr. Right could be there? there is a darker area of the club where you can be in the company of another guy... but that is your choice. Standard Cruising ettiquite applies here. Why do people take photos there? Guys sometimes take photos to show off their new gear, of have photos with friends or guys in the same suit, for all reasons. If you dont want to be in a photo, politely say to the photographer that you dont want your face in shot. But the rules are: photos are only to be taken of consenting adults not crowd shots, and you may only bring a camera with prior approval from the organisers. Who are the organisers? John who owns the Backstreet, along with the Promotion team here. If there's any more questions, please ask? |
